Q. Could you share a bit about your educational and career journey that led you to becoming the GM of Operations at Cerita Event?
Ade: I began my journey in the creative industry back in 2003, working as a freelancer with several event organizers. It was a humble yet enriching start, allowing me to learn the ropes from the ground up. By 2009, I earned an opportunity to become an Account Executive at a creative firm, which marked a pivotal step in my career. In 2012, I joined FAB as an Account Manager, where I honed my skills and deepened my understanding of the industry. After venturing out to another company in 2020, I returned to FAB in 2023, taking on the role of Operational Director at Cerita Event. Each step of this journey has been instrumental in shaping my approach to leadership and operations today.
Q. What is the biggest challenge the industry is facing right now?
Ade: The biggest challenge lies within the company itself — our team. In such a competitive industry, standing out requires us to be uniquely creative and highly efficient. It’s about fostering a culture where excellence in execution becomes second nature. Managing internal dynamics, inspiring innovation, and ensuring every event leaves a lasting impression are all crucial. Our ability to differentiate ourselves is the key to thriving in this ever-evolving landscape.
Q. What makes Indonesia’s event industry unique or special?
Ade: Indonesia’s event industry stands out because of its unparalleled emphasis on entertainment. Here, even corporate or government events are infused with a lively, engaging spirit that captivates audiences. In contrast, many other countries opt for a more straightforward, functional approach. This commitment to delivering memorable experiences, regardless of the event type, is what makes the industry here so vibrant and special.

Ade: At Cerita Event, staying ahead means embracing innovation with agility.
