On January 24, 2025, Dulux introduced True Joy™, its Colour of the Year 2025, at an immersive event held at Hotel Mulia Senayan, Jakarta. The launch, expertly orchestrated by FAV, a premier activation agency under the FAB Indonesia umbrella, brought together 350 distinguished guests, including media representatives, distributors, and industry stakeholders.

 

Spanning across Ballroom 2 & 3, the event was a meticulously curated experience designed to showcase the transformative power of colour while reinforcing Dulux’s position as an industry leader. The day-long celebration combined an insightful press conference, interactive exhibition, and an elegant gala dinner, elevating the unveiling beyond a simple product launch into a testament to creativity, optimism, and collaboration.

Each year, Dulux’s team of global colour experts selects a shade that captures the collective mood and design trends of the moment. For 2025, that colour is True Joy™, a warm, uplifting yellow that embodies brightness, pride, and vibrancy. More than just a shade, True Joy™ represents an invitation to dream, create, and reimagine spaces with a sense of happiness and inspiration. 

 

Through this event, Dulux empowered its key partners, retailers, and industry professionals with the knowledge and vision to bring True Joy™ into homes, workplaces, and creative environments. The unveiling underscored Dulux’s commitment to shaping trends that not only enhance aesthetics but also influence emotions and well-being.

 

An Exclusive Gathering of Industry Leaders

The event welcomed Dulux’s key partners and stakeholders, recognizing their critical role in expanding the brand’s presence and impact. Among the 350 distinguished guests were 67 media representatives, ensuring the launch gained widespread exposure, 123 distributors who play a vital role in bringing Dulux products to the market, and 183 professional stakeholders, including architects, designers, and key industry figures shaping Indonesia’s design and construction landscape. By bringing these influential figures together under one roof, Dulux reaffirmed its commitment to collaboration, innovation, and customer satisfaction, laying the foundation for shared success in 2025.

 

The Multi-Sensory Experience by FAV

Beyond a traditional launch, the event was a multi-layered activation designed by FAV to immerse guests in the world of True Joy™. From the moment attendees arrived, they were led through a carefully designed journey that engaged the senses, inspired creativity, and reinforced the emotional impact of colour. 

 

Guests were welcomed with an elegant entrance showcasing True Joy™ applied in diverse interior settings, offering a first-hand look at its versatility. Registration was followed by an interactive exhibition, where curated spaces demonstrated the real-world applications of True Joy™—from residential settings to commercial environments.

 

A Dulux Professional Gallery provided insight into the latest advancements in paint technology and professional coatings, while a drawing wall and interactive screen encouraged guests to express their creativity. A photo booth captured moments from the event, allowing attendees to commemorate their experience before moving into the grand ballroom for the official Colour of the Year 2025 launch.

 

A Grand Celebration: Press Conference and Gala Dinner

The event officially commenced with a press conference featuring industry experts and key speakers, including Dave Hendrik, Iwet Ramadhan, and Harumi, accompanied by Imelda Akmal as the moderator. Discussions delved into the design philosophy behind True Joy™, its psychological impact, and its relevance in contemporary architecture and interior spaces.

 

As the evening progressed, the grand ballroom transformed into an elegant setting for the gala dinner, a moment dedicated to appreciating Dulux’s esteemed partners. Guests were treated to a carefully curated menu, featuring a blend of canapés, delicious buffet, and a refined dinner set menu, elevating the sense of exclusivity and celebration.

 

A dynamic talk show hosted by Patricia Gouw and Edrick, featuring Agatha Suci, Cosmas Gozali, and Yuni Jie kept the atmosphere engaging, leading up to a grand prize giveaway that added an element of excitement. The night reached its peak with a live performance by renowned musical act Project Pop, creating a celebratory mood that perfectly captured the energy and optimism of True Joy™, making the event an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
